Before You Begin

Read through these instructions completely before starting. Following them precisely ensures safe application and beautiful, long-lasting color.

Do a skin sensitivity test (always). Perform this test 24 hours before coloring.
Gather your materials: Each kit includes dye, developer, gloves, and a mixing and application bottle. Optional: comb for longer hair, old towel and cloth for drips.
Make sure your hair is clean and dry (no gel/conditioner/oil). If you need to shampoo first, don't condition – wait until hair is completely dry before coloring.
If you have stubborn gray areas, such as the temples, you can pretreat them for better color uptake. Apply Naturcolor Developer directly to the area using a Q-tip or cotton ball (be sure to wear gloves). After 10 minutes, wipe clean with a damp paper towel (towels run the risk of discoloration) and immediately proceed with coloring as usual.

How to Apply Naturcolor

Undyed Head & Facial Hair

For your first time coloring or if your hair hasn't been colored in several months

Mix product: Mix equal parts color and developer in the applicator bottle provided. Gently turn the bottle to blend the liquids.
Apply to roots: Wearing gloves, apply the mixture to your root area in ¼-inch sections across your entire scalp.
Apply to hairline: Apply the mixture along your hairline and at the temples.
Comb through: If necessary, use a wide-tooth comb to draw the mixture from roots to ends. Apply more mixture as needed to ensure complete coverage.
Wait: Massage the mixture throughout your hair, making sure every strand is saturated. Allow it to set for a total of 45 minutes.
Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use the included After Color Treatment shampoo and Echinacea Herbacreme Conditioner samples for best color retention. Style as usual.

Facial Hair: When coloring facial hair, you can use the provided mixing bottle with applicator tip to squirt the solution throughout your beard or moustache. Or, once the solution has been measured and mixed, you can transfer the solution into a bowl (non-metal) for brush-on application. A toothbrush or comb can be used to comb the solution through facial hair.

Full Color Refresh

To refresh color throughout and blend roots with ends

Mix product: Mix equal parts color gel and developer in the applicator bottle provided. Gently turn the bottle to blend the liquids.
Apply to roots: Wearing gloves, apply the mixture to your root area in ¼-inch sections across your entire scalp.
Apply to hairline: Apply the mixture along your hairline and at the temples.
Wait: Allow the mixture to set for 20 minutes.
Comb through: If necessary, use a wide-tooth comb to draw the mixture from roots to ends. Apply more mixture as needed.
Wait: Massage the mixture throughout your hair, ensuring complete saturation. Allow it to set for another 25 minutes.

Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use the included After Color Treatment shampoo and Echinacea Herbacreme Conditioner samples for best color retention. Style as usual.

Root Only Touch-Up

For new root growth only, when ends don't need refreshing

Mix product: Mix equal parts color gel and Naturfix Developer in the applicator bottle provided. Gently turn the bottle to blend the liquids.
Apply to roots: Wearing gloves, apply the mixture to your root area only in ¼-inch sections across your entire scalp.
Apply to hairline: Apply the mixture along your hairline and at the temples.
Wait: Allow the mixture to set for 45 minutes.

Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use the included After Color Treatment shampoo and Echinacea Herbacreme Conditioner samples for best color retention. Style as usual.

After-Care & Maintenance Tips

Proper after-care keeps your color vibrant, shiny, and long-lasting. Follow these simple but effective guidelines to maintain beautiful results.

Rinse with lukewarm or cool water – hot water opens the cuticle and releases color.
Wait 48-72 hours before shampooing to let color set completely.
Use products made for color-treated hair to prolong color life.
Avoid harsh sulfates, alcohol, and citrus oils – they strip color quickly.
Limit heat styling – blow-dryers, straighteners, and high heat fade color faster.
Protect from sun and chlorine – both fade and alter color over time.
